Synopsis
Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code: Wedlocked is a short film written and produced by James Ward. It is directed by Leora Glass and produced by Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, and Jerry Bruckheimer, serving as executive producer. The film’s short-form cast includes John Vickery, Vanessa Branch, and Lauren Maher.
The story was based on an episode of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series; wedlock featured Scarlett and Giselle in what was described by Byrkit as “a chance for the wench to share their hilarious moment.” The plot was based on The Pirate Code Book and recalled the first Disneyland attraction, with a focus on the famous auction scene as well as being designed as a prequel to the film that was originally released, The Curse of the Black Pearl, which explains what happened to the boat that Jack Sparrow being sunk at the beginning of the film, and also why Giselle and Scarlett were angry with him.
Tales of the Code: Wedlocked was shot in the latter half of 2006 with set designs in Walt Disney Studios that were finishing the shooting of the third film, At World’s End. When working on this feature as the concept advisor for the Gore Verbinski Pirates trilogy in the early days, Jim Byrkit had the idea of making an animated short film. He thought of a film based on The Pirate Code and began working with Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio to write the script.
Plot
The short film shows an image of the Pirate Code Book lying on a table until someone opens it up on the first page that says “Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales from the Code .”Then “Wedlocked” appears from out of the blue. The film then cuts to the scene in Shipwreck City, brimming with lighting and docked vessels at night.
Scarlett and Giselle find out the truth about Jack Sparrow tricked them.

A mirror stood up oval-shaped in the anteroom and had a wooden frame. Scarlett stares in her mirror. Illuminated by candles, the mirror is a stunning sight while she is trying on her bridal veil until Scarlett can see her friend Giselle as well as primping in another mirror. After meeting, they reveal they are getting ready for their wedding. Giselle said her groom was with beautiful eyes and “speaks fancy words and has many syllables,” while Scarlett claimed that their groom was a prince, and “men across the globe use the name.” At this point, the two henchmen raise their hands and reveal identical engagement rings. They simultaneously reveal a Name: Jack Sparrow. Scarlett and Giselle’s eyes sank when they realized that Jack had lied to two of them.
The curtains suddenly rise to thundering applause and reveal a room full of gorgeous pirates and lovers smiling with joy. In the background of Scarlett and Giselle are brides, wenches of varying sizes and shapes, including some slim and tall and all in wedding gowns. The two ladies gaze out at the pirates as a lively pirate band performs their instruments. Over the band, an “Auction–Take a Wench for a Bride” banner is raised into the air. Scarlett and Giselle look around until Oona, an older woman wearing an eyepatch, comes out from behind and beams brightly: “It’s the happiest day of your life.”
The Auctioneer who is in charge of the auction.

A man who is a blur is seen, referred to as the Auctioneer. He smiles as he gives the wench, including the confused Scarlett and Giselle. As the two inquire about Jack’s location, the Auctioneer smiles and gestures at Giselle and presents her with flowers as the first female wench to be offered. After an old pirate offered an offer of just five pieces of silver and was slammed, Giselle was furious at the offer. Scarlett joked and declared “Five” while the Auctioneer continued to bid. Giselle stares at Scarlett, who smiles at the pirates and sports a smidgen of the leg as the auction progresses. The Marquis D’avis offered $20 for Scarlett and referred to her as “the “redhead.” Knowing how Scarlett was a highly profitable business, and the price increased to 40 pieces, the Auctioneer removed The bouquet of Giselle flowers and presented the bouquet in Scarlett as a drunk pirate and sang, “We want red!
Scarlett, along with Giselle fighting

Scarlett kisses pirates before having Giselle “advertise” her bid to be the most expensive. She highlights her cleavage while making a pose where Nigel offered ten dollars to get “the person with flaxen hair” however, he could not win the auction when Slurry Gibson offered 50 to win the “redhead.” In contrast, Giselle stated that she was “eager-G-iously” underbid the bid of Atencio on”the “not redhead” while the Drunk Pirate bid 60 for Scarlett. Then, the Marquis D’avis made an immediate bid of 70 dollars for Scarlett. Scarlett and Giselle push each other in the fighting in the next few minutes, pulling hair, catfighting. The pirates laughed while the two wench fought, and the band’s music continued to play while other wenches attempted to control Scarlett, who was biting on Giselle’s legs. Giselle strikes Scarlett repeatedly while her leg is bitten until both of them freeze and look out at the pirates, who look at each other, slack-jawed and enthralled. Then, after some time, they sounded like a cacophony while the band of pirates played a new song. A flurry of offers led by the Marquis of D’avis, who was willing to pay 200 for the two, and the Auctioneer offered the pair a sum. While the auctioneers continue their bids, Scarlett and Giselle react to the sudden change before Giselle knocks Scarlett and begins wrestling once more.
A group of pirates split up in discussion, and Atencio is the first to offer 400 dollars and proudly announce that they founded a company. Marquis Davis made a bid of five hundred dollars as Scarlett and Giselle continued to fight, being held back by other wench. When the bid increased, Atencio’s company confers on the Marquis D’avis’ upcoming bids, upwards of 617. In addition, Nigel immediately offered a goat, which prompted Atencio to add an animal to their offer. The Marquis D’avis put in the highest bid, which was 700 silver pieces and two goats. The Auctioneer happily accepted while the company’s value plummets.
The Auctioneer attempts to alleviate the pirates.

After this, Scarlett and Giselle ended their fight and celebrated being wealthy and having goats. The Auctioneer, however, was able to correct them, saying that his wealth was earned when they were shackled together and stated that they were his property in a fair one-hundred percent. There was a heated debate between both wench and pirates in a debate over whether Scarlett or Giselle was up for auction or not. The Auctioneer declared that he sold the two fair and squarely as in the Pirate Code. Then Mungard, the pirate, reminded pirates if they had to follow the Code had been a lawyer, and he swore a rebuke to the people who did not respect the Code. Giselle takes a breath before asking the Auctioneer whether he was the owner of the dress she wore or a song she could sing, which the Auctioneer confirmed without a doubt. Being aware that she was responsible for her behavior, Giselle gave Mungard a brutal smack on the face. The incident caused a stir when Mungard declared that the Auctioneer would be held accountable for the incident. The gun he pointed at the Auctioneer and then began throwing his key into Scarlett along with Giselle’s shackles, the holder of which Mungard was able to point his gun at. A drunken pirate shot his gun into the air, which caused Mungard to turn around and grab his guns. Scarlett and Giselle disappear as Auctioneer, with the Code on his back, claiming that one person caused the accident: Jack Sparrow. After hearing the mention of Sparrow, Mungard turned to ask where, and his pistol shot into the Code. The Auctioneer who was still holding the Code dropped back to the ground.
Every one of the pirates, including Mungard, was stunned by what had happened. The crowd mumbled about Mungard shooting the Code and said that Captain Teague would likely lose his head. A group of people assisted a dazed auctioneer to stand up. Then, Mungard ordered to lock up the Code for it to be locked away and warned pirates that if one of them spoke of what happened, they would be slapped with their tongues. Cotton and his pet told Mungard that “mum’s saying.” Scarlett and Giselle left and promised to “re-acquainting” Jack Sparrow with their hands. Scarlett also revealed she pulled out four nails from the boat of Jack in case the man was suffering from “cold feet,” instantly revealing Jack Sparrow trying to get the water out of the vessel as he headed towards Port Royal. In the meantime, the Pirate Code was carried towards an unlocked chest. Inside the chest.
