The most famous restaurant chain, the buffet chain, chose the Bronx for its first New York City location, one who announced its outdoor opening on the Monday of September. 14.
Golden Corral, now operating in the parking lot at Van Nest’s 2375 E. Tremont Ave., is open for dining outside and take-out. Delivery service will be added in the coming weeks as per the restaurant’s website.

To ensure safety upon arrival, guests can order food from outside registers behind plexiglass and then eat at one of the communally separated cleaned tables.

It is a great place to go if you’re hungry and haven’t had a meal all day. The price for the buffet is 19 dollars plus whatever drink you buy and taxes. For four guests, the cost was a total of $93.

Many reviews mentioned that the food was not good, but I could not understand why there were so many complaints. The food was delicious but not overly spiced. Was it the most delicious Mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my life? No, but it certainly was delicious with enough flavor that I came back for seconds.

The wait staff was mixed. Some individuals were charming, while others were chatting and didn’t give you the attention they deserve.

The place was packed, but I’ve always seen at minimum three people wiping tables, cleaning, or cleaning the place. It didn’t smell or look bad when dining there.
